Exhibition from 12.01.2024 - 26.01.2024 by Leslie Wist and Christoph Felder in the gallery Kunstmeile Buchforst Kalk- Mülheimer Str. 320, 51065 Cologne

Many connections exist in our lives - between living beings, cultures, ideas or materials. One aim of the exhibition and the events taking place is to present the complexity and diversity of connections through artistic forms of expression. The works on display create spaces for individual connections, including implied ones, which viewers can think further about how and in what context they exist and perhaps also where they might end.

Leslie Wist The line is the building block, the element that gives structure and cohesion to the whole: the connection; the common thread. The photographs shown here by Leslie Wist belong to the series "On the road". The connection is created by the way the photographs are taken. While driving and walking through cities, towns and landscapes, Leslie Wist observes the passing scenes intensively and presses the shutter release. The connection is the route and the artist's individual point of view.

Christoph Felder Ideally, a filmmaker is also an artist. Over the years, he is confronted with so many images and motifs that, over time, he develops a focused eye for processing reality in individual images. It is like a burning glass with a subjective filter that aims to inspire the viewer's imagination. The originals are mostly real, actually existing. They are snapshots by Christoph Felder, but some are also visual compositions which, under ideal circumstances, allow further contexts to be opened up. The pictures all represent an artistic, reflective attitude towards the world.
