Since the 1960s, Austrian media and performance artist Waltraud Höllinger has made a name for herself as a pioneer of provocative feminist art under the name Valie Export. The cinematic essay sensitively traces the career of Valie Export, with close artists such as Elfriede Jelinek and Marina Abramovic as well as representatives of the art world having their say. Highly informative as a portrait, the film lives above all from the recordings of the performances, whose anarchic spirit is still palpable.

This film is part of the program accompanying the special exhibition "Tell these people who I am - Women Artists in Expressionism and Fluxus" at Museum Ostwall.
