Bring your own clothes and transform them with hand embroidery! First, you'll learn the basic embroidery techniques and then you'll apply them to your wardrobe (or create a unique gift for a loved one).
The workshop will be taught by Miriam - a hand embroidery artist and the founder of Slow Evenings(instagram.com/slow_evenings_embroidery/).
What you need to bring:
Clothes or accessories that you want to embroider on! The clothes have to be non-stretchy and non-see-through
Best suited for embroidery:
Non-stretchy jeans, jean jacket and denim clothes
Non-stretchy trousers
Shirts and blouses from a non-stretchy fabric
Tote bags, zip bags, pillowcases
Not recommended for the workshops:
Sportwear, stretchy clothes from elastic fabrics
Light, see-through t-shirts and shirts
Sweaters, winter coats
It's best to bring a couple of clothes and Miriam will tell you which are best suited for embroidery. If you have any questions about the type of clothes to bring you can contact Miriam directly: slowevenings@gmail.com
The rest of the embroidery materials will be provided during the workshop:
Over 20 embroidery designs to choose from (you can also draw your own if you want)
Embroidery supplies: (hoop, threads, needles, fabric for the sampler, scissors)

Plan of the workshop:
1,5h - Introduction to embroidery. You'll learn the basic embroidery techniques and make a sampler with the essential embroidery stitches.
1,5h - Embroidering your Clothes. You'll choose an embroidery design, choose a color palette and start embroidering your clothes. Miriam will be there to guide you along the way, give you tips for the chosen design and garment and answer any questions.
The workshop will be taught in English. No previous skills are necessary.
