Who are we when we no longer live "at home"? What happens in our bodies when our everyday language is not our mother tongue? Why does a European feel uprooted in Europe? "Unter euch" is a German and French-language performance that works without surtitles. A journey between Germany and Belgium, a declaration of love to multilingualism and to Europe. An ode to constant adaptation and translation.

Director Suzanne Emond grew up bilingual in Belgium, speaking French and Slovakian. She has lived in Germany since 2016 and works regularly in German and English. For "Unter euch", she is collaborating for the second time with the renowned Belgian author Thomas Depryck, who won the Heidelberg Stückemarkt International Author Competition in 2016.
