Unseen Horses

What does life sound like? The art of making noise has long impressed Greek dancer and aspiring choreographer Ioanna Paraskevopoulou. In her duet "MOS", for example, she honors the Foley Artist by dancing a soundscape live on stage with a wide variety of objects and materials.

In the dance piece "Unseen Horses", the focus is now on the DTH dancers and Ioanna Paraskevopoulou has immersed herself deeply into their lives with her camera. The audience not only watches the company move, but also gets to know them better; very specifically via video projections on a large screen. What is special is that the DTH dancers make sounds in the style of the Foley Artists for their own filmed lives, thus creating a special relationship between dance, sound and image.
