Universen: HOW TO BECOME ESCAPE ARTISTS?

After the Bundestag elections, Universen and the Lower Saxony State Center for Political Education are inviting people to come together and think ahead together. To this end, they are organizing the reading Eure Heimat ist unser Albtraum on 09.03.2025 and the workshop How to become escape artists? on 13.03.2025.

We are going through times of change that sometimes feel like everything is falling apart. The shift to the right in Germany is becoming increasingly apparent and those who hold power over resources and war and peace around the world are the epitome of the patriarchal nightmare. Oh World! What happened to you?!

But one thing is certain: This too will change. If we pratice believing in change, we can bend the future together.

I think it's time we take our power seriously (Thank you Audre Lorde for teaching me this. Over and over again), come together again and again and create islands of transformation. Let's practice being "Escape Artists" together.
How can we escape the cycle of capitalist logic?
How can we gather strength together? What if we rest together? When our nervous systems come down and our body knowledge is activated? What if we become swarm-intelligent and know exactly what to do and when? What dreamscapes emerge then?
In this one-day workshop we come together and practise collective rest. Do simple bodywork and create collective landscapes of connection and transformation through low-threshold performative means.
