Ninety years after Uwe Johnson's birth, the great actor Charly Hübner has read the "Anniversaries" as an audio book together with Caren Miosga and marveled at how literary and politically topical the great work still is forty years after the author's death.

With his reading from an as yet unpublished book, Charly Hübner immerses himself in it once again and tells how, shortly after the fall of the Berlin Wall, he got his hands on the Johnson book club edition at his parents' house in Mecklenburg and couldn't believe how a family saga from his homeland was linked to his place of longing, New York.
