Hans Hoffmann loves men. This is forbidden in post-war Germany and the infamous Paragraph 175 is still in force. Time and again, Hans ends up in prison. And again and again he meets Viktor, a convicted murderer. Over the years, an initial aversion develops into a bond of mutual respect. A community of fate, united by an insatiable longing for freedom and life. Or is it, against all odds, love?
