Tübinger Weihnachtsmarkt

On the 3rd weekend of Advent every year, the atmosphere on Tübingen's historic market square couldn't be more romantic. Over 350 light-decorated stalls are densely packed in the alleyways of the old town.

In contrast to many other Christmas markets in the country, almost everything here is made with heart and "handmade": home-cooked, knitted, carved, crafted, turned, potted, painted, carpentered ...

For three days, visitors can look, enjoy and buy. Many an astonished guest will resolve to try out one or two things for themselves over the course of the year or simply come back next time. A highlight is the performance of the Feuerzangenbowle on Friday at 7 p.m. on Haagtorplatz - and children can also look forward to the carousel again.
