Tischlein Denk Dich - Zukunft der Demokratie

Together with Freizeitheim Vahrenwald, we invite you to talk about democracy and cohesion at the next "Tischlein Denk Dich". The great thing about this format is that we combine a cozy dinner at a large table with discussions on current topics and carefully considered rules of the game. The perfect mix of leisure and engagement! As always, participation is free of charge.

Topic of the evening: "The future of democracy"

That sounds challenging at first, but it doesn't have to be. Because we are interested in what you want from a democracy.

• How do you feel after the federal elections?
• Are you more or less interested in politics now than after other elections?
• How can we get involved on a small and large scale and stand up for democratic values and diversity?

To take part, you don't need to have studied politics, be an expert or be very deep in the subject, it's much more about your personal experiences and thoughts - because democracy is made up of all of us.

At the Freizeitheim Vahrenwald

The event is offered in cooperation with Freizeitheim Vahrenwald. Freizeitheim Vahrenwald enables encounters, exchange and participation on site in the district. This includes cultural education projects as well as local cultural events. The district cultural institution is also increasingly involved in the area of democracy education - e.g. in the discussion series Themen & Torten, on the topic of fake news or, from April, with a regular discussion group on politics.

Procedure

The evening starts with a drink and a moderated discussion round (45 minutes) in which everyone has the opportunity to contribute their own thoughts. Our moderators ensure a good flow of conversation and a respectful exchange. Then it's time to eat: a relaxed and delicious dinner where you can get to know us and the other guests better and explore the topics in more depth.
