What opportunities and risks does the short video platform TikTok entail for political discourse? This will be the topic of the discussion event "TikTok - between political opinion-forming and disinformation" at Universum Bremen on September 26.
Panel participants include Dr. Wiebke Winter, deputy leader of the CDU parliamentary group in Bremen's parliament. Political consultant and digital expert Martin Fuchs will also be a guest. Tim Klaws, Head of Government Relations and Public Policy at TikTok Germany, will take a look at the topic from the perspective of the short video platform itself. Lisa Peyer, advisor for democracy and voter participation at the Bremen State Center for Political Education, will complete the panel discussion. The event will be moderated by Bremen-based theater scholar Manuela Weichenrieder. During the panel discussion, slammer Janina Mau will provide new perspectives and discussion impulses with thematically appropriate and pointed texts.
