Theaterhaus Jazztage: Dexter & Urban Beats Collective

For the concert at the Theaterhaus Jazztage, Dexter has teamed up with the Urban Beats Collective to present live raps combined with jazz. His voice can be understood as another instrument in the band: Fusion - not crossover. Producer, DJ and rapper Dexter is known for his love of different genres. With the album "The Jazz Files", he dedicated himself entirely to jazz. The Urban Beats Collective - the hip-hop live band from Stuttgart led by the two musicians Martin Sörös and Julian Feuchter. Keys, bass, drums, turntables and percussion merge with the energy of live rap to create a sound that emerges completely from the moment - raw, direct and always genuine.

In a relaxed atmosphere, there will be a discussion with music journalist Adrian Schmidt in the foyer after the concert. Which records have shaped Dexter? How does he work his way into different genres? What is it about jazz that particularly inspires him?
