THE UMBILICAL BROTHERS

The Umbilical Brothers are an international comedy phenomenon. Their unique blend of astounding comedy and breakneck physicality has seen the globally popular Australian comedy duo take to the stage in over 40 countries - including stadiums supporting Robin Williams and N*Sync, on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, after James Brown at Woodstock '99 and in front of the (former) Queen of England. Their worldwide appearances also included a year-long off-Broadway tour, for which they were praised by the New York Times and nominated for the "Drama Desk Award". They have been honored with the Australian "Helpmann Award" for Comedy Performance of the Year, "The Edinburgh Critics' Choice Award" and several "British Academy Film Awards". For the comedy "Upside Down Show", which they developed together with Sesame Workshop, they received an "Emmy" and a "TV Week Logie Award". So it's no wonder that Entertainment Weekly named The Umbilical Brothers one of the top 100 most creative people in the entertainment industry.

The duo has not only broken the rules of theater, but invented a new theatrical multiverse. Incredible human performances meet special effects magic that leaves the audience in awe.
