The Meffs bring punk back to Germany!

The Meffs bring a breath of fresh air to the punk scene and return to Germany in 2025 with their biggest tour to date! Since their formation in 2019, they have taken the British punk world by storm - not only with their powerful, socially critical songs, but also thanks to their explosive live performances. The two band members Lily Hopkins and Lewis Copsey met at Lewis' place of work - a bar in Colchester, Essex. The two quickly realized that they were not only on the same wavelength personally. They also harmonized well in the rehearsal room - Lily as singer and guitarist, Lewis on drums. Shortly afterwards, in spring 2020, they released their debut album, which was recorded in just one day. Just a few weeks later, the first lockdown of the Covid-19 pandemic began in the UK and The Meffs were no longer able to present their new music live. But giving up was not an option for them: through a band friend, they met British punk star Frank Turner, who promptly produced several songs with them. Through Frank Turner, they came into contact with Fat Mike, punk legend and founder of two labels. In the winter of 2022/23, The Meffs released their EPs "Broken Britain Pt.1" and "Broken Britain Pt.2" on Fat Mike's label "Bottles to the Ground", which brought them their first international attention. With the end of the pandemic, The Meffs were finally able to take off live. After support shows for Pete Doherty from The Libertines and their first gigs in the UK, they were invited to NOFX's final world tour. This kicked off a series of festival appearances on some of the world's biggest stages, including Download Festival, Ruhrpott Rodeo and Rebellion Festival. In addition to various festivals, they also accompanied The Interrupters on their sold-out European tour, and in between found time to finish their second album "What A Life". The release followed to great international acclaim in September this year, before The Meffs will play as support on Alice Cooper's UK tour. The Meffs' live shows are an unparalleled experience - from Lilly's biting socially conscious lyrics to Lewis' inexhaustible energy on the drums. Sweat, mosh pits and a captivating stage presence are guaranteed! In spring 2025, The Meffs will embark on their biggest live adventure to date with special guest Meryl Streek: a Europe-wide headline tour, which will also include a stop in Germany.
