The Lost King

Philippa (Sally Hawkins) doesn't have it easy: she is constantly overlooked in her agency job, her sons are slowly going their own ways and she is in the middle of a divorce from John (Steve Coogan), with whom she actually gets on quite well. After a visit to the theater, she develops a fascination for King Richard III and sets herself the goal of finding his missing remains. She refuses to believe that the controversial monarch was really as despicable a monster as Shakespeare made him out to be. Her search is the starting point for an adventurous journey on which the unassuming Philippa follows her intuition against great odds and takes on respected historians in order to tell the world the true story of Richard III.
