Before the film: Introduction and film excerpts with Jerry Fielding's rejected music

After a failed bank robbery, gangster couple Doc and Carol McCoy (Steve McQueen and Ali MacGraw) flee to Mexico. The film, which oscillates between a cynical study of violence and road movie elements, was initially scored by Sam Peckinpah's regular composer Jerry Fielding until he was replaced by Quincy Jones at the insistence of lead actor McQueen.
