To celebrate the anniversary, The Cult will play songs from all eleven of their studio albums released to date

The Cult have made their mark in music history as pioneers of post-punk and hard rock, pushing boundaries with their experimentation and influencing countless bands from different genres. With their musical prowess, uncompromising attitude and captivating stage presence, they have created their own identity and at the same time discovered new territory for bands. From Billy Duffy's formative and influential years in Manchester's underground to Ian Astbury's hit festival "Gathering of the Tribes", the duo have left their unmistakable mark on modern music and had a lasting influence on its development.

The Cult formed in England in 1984. The groundbreaking post-punk band sold millions of albums and received numerous international and US gold and platinum awards. Ian Astbury (vocals) and Billy Duffy (guitar) have released eleven studio albums over the course of The Cult's career. Described as "shamanic goths", the band achieved international fame with the 1985 album "Love", including the eternal rock anthem "She Sells Sanctuary" and the popular follow-up single "Rain". Four years later (1989), "Electric" was released, which was also highly praised by the press and celebrated as powerful and innovative.

Last year, The Cult released the album "Under The Midnight Sun". A review of the eight-song album aptly stated: "The indelible melodramatists of rock still have the fire in their eyes". In late 2023, Astbury and Duffy reunited for a series of live performances as Death Cult, including a single date in the US at the Theatre at The Ace Hotel and a select number of dates in the UK with two sold-out shows at the Brixton Electric. In the early months of 2024, the band performed on The Howard Stern Show and embarked on a series of vinyl reissues of their critically acclaimed albums.

Now the forefathers of their genre are finally coming to Germany for three shows. The German dates begin on July 31 with a show at Huxleys in Berlin.
