At the age of 93, Marianne Wilke still remembers the cruel hours in Hamburg's air raid shelters very well. As a so-called "half-Jew", she narrowly escaped deportation as a schoolgirl. Years after the war, she learned that bombs were still being dropped on Germany and joined a protest movement. When she was sent to prison for this, she had long since realized that she had to actively campaign for a better and more peaceful world. "Never again war, never again fascism!", she says, sitting in front of a school class and begins to explain why "zero hour" never happened.
