In 2024, the GeyserHaus park stage will once again host a special concert for the whole family. This year, the Rumpelstil music theater will present its popular flashlight concert on September 20 and October 5.

In the open air, children and adults will light up their flashlights to the music of Rumpelstil. This extraordinary open-air event is always something special, it starts in the evening light and ends in the torchlight - for many children it is their first evening concert in the open air and of course it is a music event, a night walk and a cuddle evening with Rumtobe permission. The Berlin band Rumpelstil awaits the adventurers - who dare to venture into dark cellar rooms with a flashlight, the tinkerers - who take flashlights apart and put them back together again to their heart's content and the dreamers - who read secretly under the comforter. They will all come. And with flashlights, glowing fishing rods, home-made spotlights, headlamps on the left and right and glow sticks.

This unusual concert idea originated in Berlin, where the first torchlight concert took place on the open-air stage at Weißensee in 1999. The Rumpelstil music theater now travels all over Germany to delight young and old with its music. The melodies are great, the lyrics simply fantastic. But you can only understand the Rumpelstil phenomenon once you have seen them live. Rumpelstil is a band and musical theater in equal measure. They only play their own songs and their own theater pieces and are now known throughout Germany for their flashlight concerts. The songs appeal to children and adults alike because the lyrics are catchy and profound, stunning and uplifting at the same time. Children can marvel at adults and adults can marvel at their children. At some point, the first sounds of the famous flashlight song are heard, thousands of flashlights move - sometimes more, sometimes less synchronized - to the beat of the music and countless children's voices can be heard from the brightly lit darkness, all singing simultaneously "A thousand little flashlights are writing their very secret wishes into the evening sky today for young and old...". You simply have to experience it!
