Tabu Kinderarbeit? – Kinder kämpfen für ihr Recht, zu arbeiten

In the organizer's words:

In this seminar, we will look at the topic of child labor from different angles and, among other things, pay attention to the rights and living conditions of working children.

It is often said: "Stop child labor!" Could it instead be "Treat working children fairly and with dignity!", which would entail a completely different approach? SDG 18 of the 2030 Agenda states that child labor should be abolished by 2025(did not happen). Millions of children, especially in countries of the Global South, have to go to work to support their families or ensure their own survival, some voluntarily, some under duress. Working children in Africa, Asia and Latin America have formed children's unions to fight for their rights.

Using inputs, reflections, theater pedagogical methods, films and discussions, we will devote three days to these topics and will be professionally accompanied by Philip Meade from the ProNATs e.V. association.

The participation fee is 40 euros (including accommodation, meals and travel costs).
