Two artists, two disciplines, two artistic styles: with "SYMBIOSIS", Kolja Huneck and Luuk Brantjes create a circus experience that combines very different elements. The symbiosis that gives the show its title becomes a living process: juggling and spinning board merge into a choreographic dialog between artists, object, material and space. Luuk Brantjes turns the spinning board, typically used by at least two people, into his solo instrument. He balances with daring precision, plunging headfirst into the depths, challenging not only gravity but also the conventions of his art form. Kolja Huneck transforms vinyl records into poetic juggling objects: They spin, play music, roll, fly. You can't always believe your eyes with this object manipulation. Surreal like Salvador Dalí's pictorial worlds, the stage is constantly forming new landscape associations: gloomy gravel heaps, poetic expanses and humorous moments of childlike playfulness merge into a kaleidoscopic experience. Thematically, "SYMBIOSIS" delves deep into the tension between man and nature.
Inspired by natural phenomena and subterranean worlds, the artists explore the global challenges of our time. A custom-made domed tent, which is located in the Stadtgarten at the foot of the hill in front of the Ruhrfestspielhaus, becomes a performance space and transports the audience into an immersive world. Here, performance, atmosphere and space merge into a unique experience. A crazy dream and fragile balancing act - poetic, moving and surprising.

Children, pupils, students up to the age of 27, trainees, the unemployed and volunteers (BFD, FSJ, etc.) receive a 50% discount on the regular ticket price (except for price table 7) and remaining tickets at a price of €10.00 at the Box Office.
