German actress Karoline Herfurth enjoyed her first successes early on in films such as MÄDCHEN, MÄDCHEN and DAS PARFUM. However, it was her role as "Lisi Schnabelstedt" in "Fack ju Göhte" that finally won the hearts of viewers. However, the multi-talented actress is not only known in front of the camera, but also behind it as a director and voice actress. In her own films, she addresses all kinds of female challenges and issues of our time. We are dedicating a retro trilogy to Karoline Herfurth as part of our Nostalgica film series. Two like fire and water: Franny (Karoline Herfurth) is completely disoriented, both professionally and privately, with a strong tendency towards panic attacks. In contrast, single mother Mel (Hannah Herzsprung) is a tough self-sufficient woman who wants to make a better life for herself and her daughter with a diamond heist. But as good as Mel's plan is - the execution turns out rather suboptimal, and nobody would ever have wished her to take Franny, of all people, hostage. Franny drives Mel crazy with her panic attacks and "your mother" jokes, while the tough SEK leader Ingrid von Kaiten (Anneke Kim Sarnau) is hot on their trail. And then there's the attractive policeman Harry (Frederick Lau), who not only totally turns Franny's head, but is also taken hostage as a second hostage. The chaos is perfect and an unexpected friendship develops between the two women as they try to maneuver their way out of the situation without too much damage. (Source: distributor)
