Suheyla Ferwer Tanztheater: Kaleidoskop des Lebens

In the organizer's words:

The latest project of the "Suheyla Ferwer Tanztheater" (SFT) is being created in cooperation with the Kunstsalon Köln. Under professional guidance, young people deal with the diversity of people and their lifestyles, religions and forms of society and with the desire for freedom and recognition.

Suheyla Ferwer says:
"The idea of COMMUNITY DANCE practiced in the process emerged from my assistance with Royston Maldoom. A significant value of this idea lies in bringing together young people from different types of schools and social structures. This diversity requires mutual respect and sensitive empathy from the participants. This results in both a challenge and, if successful, a deep enrichment.

An additional creative feature of my artistic work is the expansion of the company to a generational project from 6 - 86 years, as well as the intensification through professional dancers and actors.

My work is supported by a young team of choreographers:
Svitlana Shuhailo, Ukrainian dancer and student at the Folkwang University Essen; Julius Olbertz, former SFT dancer and graduate of the Folkwang University Essen with a Master's degree."

In 2025, the SFT will also be supported by the Sylter Gezeiten Company, which will be performing on stage as a guest.
