Sträters Gutenachtgeschichten - Tour 2025

It's an open secret: before he became known as a comedian, Torsten Sträter wrote his fingers bloody. Fortunately, his horror stories did not end up in the attic, but have now been published as audio books - read by Sascha Rotermund, the dubbing voice of Benedict Cumberbatch and others.

In his bedtime stories, Torsten Sträter shows us that horror lurks not only in ruined cemeteries or Scottish castles, but also in everyday places in the Ruhr region, for example. Imbued with Sträter's unique sense of humor, all these stories will make you smile, shiver and, above all, have fun.

Sträter himself now sends Sascha Rotermund into the night to ensure that the audience's laughter gets stuck in their throats. The spooky and amusing evening is accompanied by Volker Präkelt, whose keyboard skills create a suitably eerie atmosphere.

Author

Torsten Sträter, born in 1966, lives in Waltrop near Dortmund, worked in a furniture delivery company, helped out in a bookshop and has been performing self-written texts at poetry slams and in solo shows since 2008. Lowest number of spectators: 9. Highest number of spectators: over 8000.

Cast

Sascha Rotermund, born in 1974, studied acting in Hanover and has performed on numerous German theater stages, including in Hamburg, Bremen and Berlin. As a dubbing actor, he lends his voice to well-known international actors (including Benedict Cumberbatch, Pedro Pascal and Omar Sy). Rotermund is one of the busiest audiobook interpreters in Germany.

The sound producer and director Volker Präkelt, like Sträter a true child of the Ruhr region, has already staged readings and plays such as "Arte Criminale" and "Herbst in New York" with Sascha Rotermund. Music pervades the life of the author and director, who has received several awards for his radio plays and television series and has been nominated for the Grimme Prize.
