Every year Stefan Bauer, the New York-based vibraphonist from the Ruhr area, invites you to a very special concert around Christmas time. Always changing line-ups with world-class musicians, always different music, always exciting interaction and energy live on stage. This year, Stefan has a new project with internationally recognized and award-winning musicians. This year in an exciting and experimental large formation."We can also be different!"

A hip, multi-generational group of cats from the region.
The risk-taking guitarist Fred Tenbieg has written several pieces especially for this concert and arranged them for this unusual line-up. Among connoisseurs, Tenbieg is already regarded as the Yaya Toure of the regional jazz scene. He is an absolute bench player at the back, confident on the ball, but also has a forward drive and a goal threat that should not be underestimated - especially from distance!

Local legend Michael Peters-Thöne and Jonathan Schierhorn - also known as Johnny2000 - will form the central defense of drums and percussion. Rugged coolness and experience á la Paolo Maldini meet creative reinterpretation of the position, as seen in the young Mats Hummels from the famous 2010/11 and 2011/12 championship seasons.

Guitarist Ingo Marmulla and bassist Alex Zotz make it difficult for any opponent on the wing. Sometimes they go with the pace up front and create overpayments in and around the 16, offer themselves up as a passing option and tear gaps in the opposition's defense, sometimes they stay in the back and, together with MPT and Johnny2000, stir the concrete on which every opposing offense wears out its knees.

Captain Stefan Bauer on marimba, vibraphone and piano and Claudia Amos Barretto (vocals and violin) act as the team's twin frontmen. A well-rehearsed team with an inexhaustible repertoire of rehearsed moves, but also the improvisational scoring instinct that makes every defense in the world tremble and gives every goalkeeper nightmares.
