Stand-up Against Racism! | Vol. 2

In the organizer's words:

Racism is no joke - but humor can offer those affected a way to process the realities of their lives and the racism they experience every day and to tell their own stories. True to the motto "joking is my coping mechanism", we want to highlight people with their own experiences of flight, migration, racism and other forms of discrimination within an industry in which their perspectives are often still given comparatively little space. We do this by offering them a stage on which they can turn everything that moves them in their lives into comedy. In addition to its empowering aspects, humor also opens up low-threshold ways for the audience to reflect on serious topics, above all how to deal with their own racist ways of thinking and acting. This is where the idea for our stand-up show "Stand-up Against Racism!" was born. In 2025, we are going into the next round with "Stand-Up Against Racism! Vol. 2": artists from Munich and the rest of Germany give humorous insights into their lives and experiences so that we can encourage each other, learn together and make this city a better place for everyone.
