Spuren im Sand - Roboter auf dem Roten Planeten

In the organizer's words:

When electric vehicles "go where no man-made car has gone before .... ". Every (2) years, Mars makes a guest appearance in the skies of the Rhine and often receives guests from Earth. Most recently in 2021, when the current NASA mission "PERSEVERANCE" as a team of rover & helicopter reinforced its sister model "CURIOSITY", which has been exploring the surface of the red planet since 2012. Its American predecessors SOJOURNER and OPPORTUNITY have become icons of space history, which is to be continued by Chinese and European vehicles. The missions provide insights into the structure and history of the planet, which once offered more life-friendly environmental conditions, and test technologies for future manned landings.
