Spaaaß - Wer bestimmt, was lustig ist?

Interactive play based on a text by Christian Giese - ages 12 and up

Sports class. While waiting for the teacher, everyone catches up on the latest news: who is doing what with whom, which shoe is in fashion and what can no longer be worn under any circumstances? In any case, Bruno's hairstyle is a no-go and is he wearing ...? Stop. At this point, the presenter interrupts the action and asks the participants why they are doing what exactly, and then asks the audience: Who is bullying whom and why? What could the different roles from the class community be doing?

Based on Christian Giese's text Spaaaß - Wer bestimmt, was lustig ist?, ensemble member and director Johanna Weißert gets to the bottom of group dynamics in the school environment. In her successful production Kein leichter Fall (No Easy Case), she already dealt with social interaction and the question of crime and perpetration.

It always affects at least one person in the class. More often, it is a reciprocal process that affects several of the pupils equally: Bullying. Does a group only feel like a community through exclusion or demarcation? What is worse, active provocation or the passive role of those who join in? Where is the line between bullying and a criminal offense? And above all: What can courage look like?

Together with the performers and the audience, this interactive play goes in search of answers, motives and options for action.
