Play about the resistance fighter Sophie Scholl
She would have been 104 years old this year on May 9: Sophie Scholl, German resistance fighter against the Nazis. On 16 & 18 May 2025, Theater Courage will present a play about the last days of the young woman who, together with her brother Hans Scholl, was active in the "White Rose" resistance group against National Socialism, then arrested and interrogated by the Gestapo, later sentenced and finally executed together with her brother. Before that, she finds some courage and strength in a few conversations with her cellmate Else Gebel. Directly before the execution of the two siblings, there is an emotional, final reunion with their parents before the condemned must walk their last path to the scaffold with their heads held high....
