The focus of the evening is Sebastian Stier's composition Windflüchter II, a work that was written as long ago as the founding of Edition Juliane Klein. Despite its age and the many pieces Sebastian Stier has written in the meantime, it still occupies an important place in the composer's oeuvre today.

In conversation with Mathias Lehmann, Sebastian Stier looks back on the essential compositional approaches of this work and reflects on how the tonal-structural phenomena of the piece are still relevant more than 25 years after its creation and could be taken up and further developed in new compositions.

With the performance of Windflüchter II by flautist Katrin Plümer as part of the exhibition at KUNSTPUNKT, the visual-spatial ideas that flowed into the composition as abstract ideas enter into a sensory interaction with the gallery space.
