Solina Cello Ensemble – Kerzenschein-Weihnachtskonzert

The "quiet" time is certainly a very special time of year for many of us and that is precisely why the Solina Cello Ensemble have come up with a very special concert for the Christmas season. By candlelight, with the warm sound of two cellos, they would like to take you away for an hour from the cold season, from perhaps one or two melancholy thoughts or simply from the hectic pre-Christmas period. They will make you laugh with a wonderful, humorous little Christmas story and give you an evening full of warmth, brilliance and extraordinary musical moments.

When you hear the word "cello", your thoughts will certainly first wander to classical music, where you can look forward to the wonderful "Pastorale" (A. Corelli) and the "Hall of the Mountain King" (E. Grieg), among others. But the queen of string instruments can also be played in a completely different way. Closest to the human voice, the winning cello sound is also a wonderful medium for interpreting pop and rock songs such as "Hallelujah" (L. Cohen) and Christmas carols.
