Guitar legend Scott Henderson on "Karnevel!" Tour 2025

Scott Henderson's "Karnevel!" tour will continue in March 2025. Scott's new album "Karnevel!", released in early 2024, reached #1 on the Amazon Jazz Charts. Scott's previous album "People Mover" was voted Best Fusion Album of 2019 by Jazz Times magazine, and he won both Best Guitarist and Best Electric/Jazz-Rock/Contemporary Group in the JazzTimes readers poll.

"Karnevel!" contains a diverse array of beautiful compositions and showcases Scott's impressive ability to combine elements of jazz, rock, funk and blues in an authentic, seamless and musical way. After 35 years as a bandleader, Scott is a musician whose playing and compositions continue to grow.

The album was recorded live in the studio with Romain Labaye on bass and Archibald Ligonnière on drums, the same musicians as on "People Mover". After the live session, Scott spent a lot of time layering additional guitar tracks. "I'm glad I was able to create some sounds I've never used before," Scott said in a recent interview. "Variety and tempo are very important aspects of a record for me, and this one covers a wide spectrum, from heavy rock moments to very harmonic jazz, and there's a solo guitar piece that I've never done on an album before."

When asked about the concept of the album, Scott replied, "It comes from being a fan of the LA Fair and fairs in general, not so much as a kid, but as a father. Disneyland is fun, but the fair is much more quirky, ridiculous and always hilarious. It's a crazy atmosphere full of variety, like my music."

Scott Henderson was born in 1954 and performed with his legendary band Tribal Tech in the 1980s. Since then he has developed into one of the best guitarists/composers in jazz fusion. Scott has toured and recorded with Chick Corea, Joe Zawinul of Weather Report, Jean-Luc Ponty and many others. As a bandleader, Scott has toured in over 70 countries and released over 20 albums. Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards for best guitarist in "Guitar Player" and "Guitar World" magazines and has been featured on the cover of many international guitar magazines.
