Friday night, on the dizzying 15th floor of a skyscraper, Ava's love life takes an unexpected turn. Her date with Robin, which is just getting going, is abruptly interrupted when Ava's other lovers, Delia and Silvia, turn up at the door. Delia wants to pick up the cell phone she forgot the night before, while Silvia is annoyed because Ava has been ghosted her for a week. Overwhelmed by the situation, Ava flees to the roof of the tower block - and the others follow her. But without keys or a cell phone, returning to the building proves to be more than adventurous, especially in the anonymity of the Platten neighborhood. What began as a simple date for two turns into a joint mission for four.

Shari Asha Crosson adapts this exciting novel for the Dortmund audience and paints a humorous portrait of four lesbians and queers in search of love. In addition to exploring different approaches to physicality and desire, an aesthetic focus of the novel is the search for a contemporary language. Delia, a non-binary character, deliberately refrains from using pronouns. The author, herself non-binary, views the debate about gender-sensitive language with impatience and dizziness, breaking completely new ground here.

Shari Asha Crosson is a director, actress and author. In addition to her acting work, she directed Mermaids at Theater Oberhausen in 2020, followed by I wanna be a boiband in 2022 and I wanna be loved by you at Schauspiel Dortmund in 2023. As an actress, she can currently be seen in the Grimme Award-nominated film Nichts was uns passiert, the series Fett und Fett and the feature film Get up.
