Düsseldorf's youngest poetry slam takes place every first Thursday of the month at the Theatermuseum Düsseldorf! A poetry slam is a modern competition between poets which, despite its Unesco World Heritage status, follows very simple rules: Self-written texts are performed on stage without props or music and the audience decides who wins the evening.

What the artists bring to the stage is entirely up to them. So it can be crackingly funny or magically tender, political or funny or serious... or all of the above. Whether poetry, prose or somewhere in between, everything is allowed at a poetry slam.

The slam is organized and moderated by Musenkollektiv - a queer-feminist event team consisting of Düsseldorf artists. With the kind support of Theatermuseum Düsseldorf and Lektora Verlag.
