Is there a Nessie? And if so, how many? (Sebastian Schnelle)

The Loch Ness Monster, known only as Nessie to his friends and acquaintances, is a global star and extremely shy at the same time. Most recently, in 2023, BBC paparazzi tried to find clues to the whereabouts of the famous Loch Ness inhabitant in the "biggest Nessie search in 50 years". Unsuccessfully. So a suspicion creeps up on us and the question arises: Does Nessie exist? And if so, how many?
