A fresh breeze is blowing through Europe's jazz scene. In her ensemble, saxophonist Sarah Chaksad brings together 13 brilliant musicians from Germany, France, Japan, Switzerland, Norway and Brazil. The diversity of the personnel is also reflected in the compositions, which cover an astonishingly wide range of colors and moods. Chaksad skillfully creates sound spaces for individual instruments and combinations, for exciting dialogues and thrilling solos. With modern jazz, Persian sounds and rhythmic finesse, she takes her audience on an adventurous journey.

This woman transforms the Telekom Forum into a funky fusion wonderland. It's been almost three decades since the then 17-year-old Hiromi was discovered by piano icon Chick Corea. Today, twelve albums, countless awards and tours later, she has long since become a global star. With her Sonicwonder, Hiromi is reviving her love of the electric band. She radiates with precise piano lines, Joe Zawinul-inspired motifs and synthesizer sounds ranging from classic Moog to 8-bit video game sounds. The band throws lush bass grooves, organic drumming and a strikingly soft trumpet tone into the mix. The result: pure joy, so powerful that it reaches even the back rows of the largest auditorium.
