Salut Salon: Heimat

Two violins, a cello, a piano - and an abundance of creative energy: Salut Salon are "Hamburg's most charming cultural export" (Hamburger Abendblatt). For over 20 years, the four virtuosos have been performing their "masterpieces of 'classical' comedy" (The New York Times) in the most prestigious concert halls worldwide, delighting their audiences with crazy parlor rides between Vivaldi and vocal acrobatics, tango and crime scene, rap and Rachmaninov.

The quartet consists of Angelika Bachmann (violin), Alvina Lahyani (violin), Maria Well (violoncello) and Kristiina Rokashevich (piano). Angelika, founder of Salut Salon, gave her first concerts at the age of four, began composing at the age of five and performed as a soloist with renowned orchestras from the age of seven. Alvina began playing the violin at the age of six in her home town of Kiev and has won prizes at many national and international competitions. The German-French cellist Maria won several first national prizes at "Jugend musiziert" at an early age and was sponsored by Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now. Kristiina began piano lessons at the music school in Tallinn at the age of seven.
