Sabin Tambrea has written his second book, "Vaterländer", which goes on sale on 29.08.2024. His debut novel was on the Spiegel bestseller list, and now he tells the story of his Romanian-Hungarian family through the eyes of three generations: the boy Sabin, his father Bela and his grandfather Horea. A novel about new beginnings, hardship and powerlessness in the face of a merciless political system, about the consequences of injustice, the consequences of decisions and a tender love story. The story of his parents.

But it is also the story of the siblings whose lives are reunited on this evening. The highs and lows of three generations from the novel are reflected in the sounds of Romanticism, the fin de siècle and 20th century modernism, allowing this story to be experienced on an intense emotional level through the universal language of music.

Sabin Tambrea will read excerpts from "Fatherlands", while the Guadagnini Trio with Alina Armonas Tambrea on violin, Edvardas Armonas on cello and Yannick van de Velde on piano will play works by Felix Mendelssohn, Johannes Brahms, George Enescu and Dmitri Shostakovich, among others.
