On the opening day of Roma Fest 2025, the Theater am Olgaeck invites you to a photo exhibition about the cult scene of gipsy jazz by Helmut Oelke, followed by a concert.
The concert in honor of the legendary Django Reinhardt promises an unforgettable experience in the fascinating world of gypsy jazz, with the best artists of the genre, including the Romanian jazz violinist Florin Niculescu, who inspires with his extraordinary musicality and emotional expressiveness.
Niculescu, rooted in the dynamic gipsy jazz scene in Paris, has worked with renowned artists such as Oscar Peterson, Wynton Marsalis and Ella Fitzgerald and embodies the joie de vivre of gipsy jazz.
The Sinto Gipsy Jazz Project Guttenberger also inspires with lively sounds and masterful guitar solos that transport listeners into the nostalgic soundscape of gipsy swing jazz from the first half of the 20th century.
Their music is characterized by authentic rhythms and dynamic presence.
