In the organizer's words:

As part of the exhibition 'Ressource, Research, Reset - Architectural Transformation of Sacred Spaces' with the Chair of Design at TUM, we cordially invite you to the third talk in the three-part series, this time with Prof. Dr. Albert Kirchengast and the focus on 'Research'.

Prof. Dr. Albert Kirchengast (*1980 in Feldbach, Austria) studied architecture at Graz University of Technology and completed his doctorate at ETH Zurich on the aesthetic reference to nature in Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's residential buildings. He was assistant and senior assistant at ETH Zurich and senior scientist at the Kunsthistorisches Institut Florenz, Max Planck Institute. Together with Christophe Girot, he founded the Landscript book series. He has taught at various European universities, including TU Vienna and ETH Zurich. Since spring 2023, he has been a junior professor of architectural theory with a focus on building in existing structures at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg.

The exhibition is dedicated to the future of sacred spaces and presents innovative utilization concepts to preserve them as places for society. The discussion will shed light on the significance of the architectural and cultural substance of church spaces and the need to research their historical and structural aspects.

We look forward to seeing you there!

A project in cooperation with the Chair of Design at TUM.

With the kind support of the Verein Ausstellungshaus für christliche Kunst e.V., Munich.
