Residence presentation as part of the winter residencies

With their work on Warmly, Giovanna, Maya Selezneva and her team explore visibility, failure and resilience on the path to being seen. The piece addresses the burning desire for recognition and the relentless pursuit of belonging in the midst of abrupt, disorienting change.

The piece questions the notion of 'belonging', navigates a misplaced body and mind, and offers strategies for surviving rejection in today's hyper-competitive world. By experimenting with multiple avatars that a personality can have today, the work unfolds the complexity of the audio/video/digital and physical dimensions of an identity. By encouraging resilience in the face of the many "NOs", the piece explores the idea of "being seen" and "being cool being seen". It cracks the code of perfect visibility on the path of contradictory ideas of success and failure, and failure, and failure again.

About the winter residencies

In December, January & February the EinTanzHaus will once again provide the stage for rehearsals and research. This year you can also look forward to a great program of dance evenings, film screenings and residency presentations.

As the audience, you will move closer together on the curtained stage directly on the dance floor and be right up close to the action. So it's always worth checking our program page for the latest dates.
