This band is a treasure! It grooves and it sounds, indie guitars meet disco beats, and if you listen carefully, you'll also enjoy the sometimes profound, sometimes quirky lyrics of this trio. Bright eyes and sweaty shirts are not a rarity at REITLER gigs, but rather the rule!
You can hear the greatest hits from 10 years of Reitler, with guests including Jörn Drewes and Matthias "Keppi" Keppler.

In September 2023, REITLER attracted attention with their new EP "Wir sind alle tätowiert". The first release in six years is almost a comeback - and what a comeback it is! If there's one German band that can translate profound lyrics in such a danceable way while avoiding all the pitfalls of the new German pop monotony, then it's this one!
With "Wir sind alle tätowiert", REITLER define their own genre: Disco Alemanija. Music with lyrics that sometimes enlighten, sometimes disturb. Dance music that sweeps you away, takes you by surprise and doesn't disappear from your ear canals so quickly. Synthy pads appear between funky licks and pumping basses. It's about small-town romance and big-city blues, three crosses are made for the SPD and the spy for the Soviet Union lolls dangerously in the sheets. The wonders of life, the abysses of love, the madness of the world - all this is reflected in the lyrics. Small diamonds that sparkle on the dress of everyday life.
The world has changed since their first LP. Pandemics, wars, climate crisis, and as if that wasn't enough, two founding members, Jörn Drewes and Matthias Keppler, have left REITLER. REITLER has made extensive use of the opportunity to reinvent itself. With Simon Fagerstedt, an accomplished young bassist has come on board, bringing jazz and groove with him. And he is Swedish!
REITLER have taken a step back to their roots. The roots from over thirty years of band history together, which began in the wild post-reunification year of 1990. Hundreds of concerts in various bands have shaped the sound of Peter Krutsch (drums) and Torsten Reitler (guitar, vocals, lyrics). The spectrum ranges from Dylanesque acoustic songs to driving disco stompers. At a REITLER concert, no muscle is spared, not even the one between the ears. Disco Alemanija, that's boogie for the brain. Let's dance!
