The first Daniel Haufler Fellows report on their research in the "Fellows" journal - Julia Belzig in the taz Talk at the Leipzig Book Fair.

Abortion rights in Texas, Trump's election campaign in Pennsylvania, the Latino vote in Arizona - the first Daniel Haufler Fellows report on their research and the media program in the fall of 2024, in the middle of the US presidential election campaign, in the "Fellows" journal.

They spent three weeks traveling in the USA, producing print reports, radio reports, podcasts and videos. The scholarship is a project of the Freundeskreis Daniel Haufler and the taz Panter Foundation. Julia Belzig was one of the first Daniel Haufler Fellows. In Amarillo, Texas, she researched abortion rights and a local law that would undermine them even further and declare the city a "sanctuary city for the unborn".

🐾 Julia Belzig is a freelance journalist from Berlin and has been writing about social (in)justice and feminism for many years.She was one of the first Daniel-Haufler-Fellows. In Amarillo, Texas, she researched abortion rights and a local law that would undermine them even further and declare the city a "sanctuary city for the unborn".

🐾 Gemma Terés Arilla moderates this talk. She is head of the taz Panter Foundation and was previously deputy head of the taz foreign desk, focusing on Europe.
