The 62nd Jugend musiziert regional competition for the Essen area will take place from January 31 to February 2 at the Folkwang Music School headquarters. 97 participants will showcase their skills in 12 different categories: Solo in the categories vocals (pop), violin, viola, cello, double bass. Group evaluations take place in the categories duo: piano and a brass instrument, duo: piano and a woodwind instrument, guitar duo, harp duo, chamber music with piano, vocal duo and plucked string ensemble. All age groups are represented.

The competitions are open to the public and admission is free. You are cordially invited!

The final concert with a selection of the young musicians will take place on Sunday, February 16, at 11 a.m. in the Residence Hall of Borbeck Castle. Admission is also free here.
