IMPULSE BASS CULTURE

Multifaceted, emotionally stirring and radically danceable drum'n'bass.

Peter Rogers and Andy Powell aka Technimatic joined forces in 2007 and have been central players in the drum'n'bass universe ever since, especially when it comes to musically rich, emotional and stirring drum'n'bass. Their sets are melodic and explosive, covering the entire spectrum and history of the genre. Their back catalog includes labels such as Hospital, Ram, Shogun Audio and Spearhead - in 2021 they founded their own imprint "Technimatic Music". Many have known them since their debut album "Desire Paths", which caused a sensation in 2014. With releases such as the EP "Flashbulb" or their second album "Better Perspective", they finally established themselves among the big names in the scene. Their versatility has made them an integral part of the drum'n'bass scene.

IPHAZE impresses with a clear and programmatic formula: Drums / Machines / Videos synchronized. The sets are full of energy, as hyperactive as they are interactive and combine sounds from drums, samples and sequencers with individual video synchronization. The result is a lively exchange with the crowd and a dialog of bass music that echoes in our bodies. IPHAZE is constantly exploring progressive sounds, merging elements of drum'n'bass with dubstep and other bass-heavy electronica.

Born in New Zealand, Tali is one of the most productive MCs on the scene, has made a name for herself worldwide with her energetic flows and has enjoyed legendary status since her single "Lyric on my Lip" in the early 2000s. In the meantime, she has worked with almost all the greats of drum'n'bass, released eight studio albums and toured the world several times both as an MC and with a live band. Chiccoreli is originally from London, but has since moved to New Zealand with Tali. He focuses on the liquid side of drum'n'bass and likes to describe his sound as "drum'n'bass of a soulful nature and a deeper flavor". With "Liquid Lowdown" he has had a successful radio show in New Zealand for over a decade. Tali's vocal skills in combination with Chiccoreli's vibrant sets are so hypnotic that we absolutely had to invite the two of them.

To keep the euphoria going from start to finish, our Recycle Crew with Mr.Jay, N'Dee and Jamie White will be at the start.

Box2 will host the summer edition of IMPULSE BASSKULTUR with a broad spectrum of experimental bass music and a wide variety of guests. HNGVR, the man behind the "Samsara Beats" label, will be joining us from Sardinia with Turbo-Jungle, Halftime and Footwork. Tempestfeather currently lives in Berlin, but grew up between the cultural worlds of Africa, Asia and Europe - an experience that is reflected in her eclectic selection. The night in Box2 will be rounded off by the Impulse Basskultur residents.
