A tongue-in-cheek devilish humor pervades this film about members of the Church of Satan on both sides of the Atlantic. In immaculate compositions by Austrian cinematographer Gerald Kerkletz, director Scott Cummings captures the everyday lives of his protagonists, who do what Satanists do: race through the night in Italian sports cars, give birth to baby goats, take part in S/M orgies and, of course, hold rituals. But are we really seeing reality here? It becomes more and more fantastic, at least as time goes on.
