In the third edition of our new ZIRKA series, artist Anna McCarthy reads excerpts from her new publication "The Hills Have Crazy Eyes - Woman in a Landscape" together with actress Charlotte Huber. The book contains a script of the performance of the same name which was performed in May '24 at the Schauspielhaus of the Münchner Kammerspiele. The text is a German/English assemblage of self-experience and quotations on violence against women, told through the history of nature perception and alpinism, accompanied by sketches, drawings and paintings created during McCarthy's climbing expeditions in the mountains. The publication is published by Edition Taube, sponsored by Stiftung Kunstfonds. The first part "Trickles & Oozes" was published in advance in May. Manuela Rzytki will provide the musical accompaniment for the evening.
