Known for his funny and educational videos on Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and Facebook, Raphael Breuer is now bringing his unique format "Verstehen Sie Sprach?" to the stage. In his first solo program, he takes the audience on a humorous journey through the pitfalls and wonders of the German language. With wit and charm, he addresses questions such as: Why is a forklift truck called a forklift if it doesn't stack forks? How do you actually pronounce China and chemistry correctly? And is it actually waved or waved? "Gewinkt" is the originally correct form. You wouldn't have thought that, would you?

Raphael Breuer shows how we can build bridges through our language, avoid misunderstandings and speak sensibly not only with others, but also with ourselves. He ventures into the realms of spoken word, sketch comedy and poetry slam, proving just how diverse the German language can be: from Goethe to Sido, everything is included. Funny, but without being shallow. Instructive, but without being preachy. And peculiar. Because it has its very own style.
