From deindustrialization to the Parisian elites, from unemployment to the Breton's joy of striking - France and its citizens are torn between pride in the days of the former world power and the prospect of an uncertain future.

Journalist and author Jean-Marie Magro cycled through France in 21 stages to find out what is currently on the minds of people in our neighboring country, what their worries and hopes are and why Marine LePen is so popular. In the SOCIETY ROOM, he reads from his book "Radatouille" about his personal Tour de France and tells us how France is currently ticking over baguettes and drinks.
