RABATZ & RABAUKEN FESTIVAL I HEAVYSAURUS, KOOL KATZ, JONNY KARACHO

In the organizer's words:

The open-air family event with live music

Summer and music festivals are now inextricably linked. However, families in particular have so far lacked events that meet their needs. The "Rabatz und Rabauken Festival" now fills this gap.

On 11.08.2024, Heavysaurus - metal dinosaurs and a dragon - will take to the Batschkapp Sommergarten stage to play child-friendly heavy metal, while Kool Katz will bring 50s rock'n'roll back to life in a child-friendly way and Jonny Karacho will make a big splash with punk rock for kids - true to the motto "Punk is Dad".

The most important thing at a festival like this is, of course, the live music! And little eyes and ears can really expect something special here.

Heavysaurus are perhaps the most exciting phenomenon in the current children's music scene. The band now sell out clubs and halls throughout Germany, Austria and Switzerland, perform on festival stages and made it to number 11 in the German album charts with their new album "Pommesgabel". But it's not just children who are captivated by them, adults also enjoy the concerts and join in the celebrations. Even if they like to sit in the back rows. Because with Heavysaurus, the kids are in the foreground.

The musical cat's paws of the Kool Katz play rock'n'roll with real 50s flair. With stand-up drums, double bass and the typical rousing guitar sound of great role models such as the "Stray Cats", the Kool Katz make their performances a real experience for their young audience and their parents.

The third band in the group, Jonny Karacho, alias Dominik Scherer, lets it rip and makes it possible to "pogo" to children's songs. With a mixture of folk, ska, pop and punk, he creates songs that set a new tone in the children's music scene. Wild, funny, cheeky and loving - that's Jonny Karacho, that's punk rock for kids!

The Rabatz und Rabauken Festival aims to enrich the diversity of the open-air landscape with a highlight that focuses entirely on child-friendly live music.

Music made for children's ears and a special viewing and dancing area in front of the stage for the little ones ensure an unforgettable and carefree concert experience. And the grown-ups in the back rows have fun too. After all, the songs often cause catchy tunes and twitching limbs for them too.

But there will also be a colorful supporting program to ensure that there is more to do than just romp and marvel at in front of the stage. With balloon art, a Harry Potter-style magic show and much more.

"We are thrilled to be hosting the Rabatz & Rabauken Festival and are very much looking forward to offering children and their families an unforgettable experience. It's a great opportunity for families to connect and have fun together," says Michael Thiesen from Frechdachs Entertainment" Michael Thiesen, Frechdachs Entertainment

Heavysaurus

The kids want to rock! HEAVYSAURUS are four dinosaurs and a dragon who bring rock music for the whole family to the stage - a real live experience with child-friendly lyrics and a bombastic show. A new album will be released in February and the band will be going on a big "POMMESGABEL TOUR"! Even the youngest fans are familiar with the "Pommesgabel": forefinger and little finger outstretched, hand proudly stretched upwards - the identifying sign of all rockers and dino-metalheads of all ages. So of course the next HEAVYSAURUS album has to be called "POMMESGABEL". It will be released on February 2, 2024 and will continue the story of the five music-making prehistoric creatures in brand new songs.

Once again, HEAVYSAURUS offer powerful riffs, great melodies and rousing drum beats to which the little (or big) listeners can sing, dance and freak out as they please. Real rock music, sometimes wild, sometimes quiet, with lyrics especially for the biggest little fans. The first foretaste has already been released with the single "Luna - our dog", followed by the next song "Flugsaurier" at the end of July.

HEAVYSAURUS have already played over 300 shows in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in recent years and have not only delighted children, but also their parents and grandparents. Because every Heavysaurus concert is a spectacle for the whole family. The result: sold-out halls, a great atmosphere and happy rockers of all ages. And at home, the songs from the two albums "Rock'n'Rarrr Music" (2018) and "Savior of the World" (2020), which also go down well with parents, are playing on a continuous loop.

It's always been important to us to teach children to enjoy rock music and heavy metal," explains singer Mr. Heavysaurus. "We are happy when we can offer some little fans their very first concert experience! Everyone in the band has loved live music for, well, 65 million years. It's great when our little friends enjoy it just as much." The "real" Tyrannosaurus Rex adds with his usual self-confidence: "And of course we want to win the hearts of all metal fans. Parents, grandparents and older siblings also have fun with us. A concert with us will be an experience - we promise. A big word of honor from Dino."

Kool Katz

Rock'n'roll for cool kids! Blacky Basil, Don Devon, Sonny Siam and Will Whiskers are the Kool Katz. And these cool cats play rock'n'roll with real 50's flair. With stand-up drums, double bass and the typical rousing guitar sound of great role models such as the "Stray Cats", the Kool Katz make their performances a real experience for their young audience and their parents. The quality of the songs leans heavily on the originals of the 50s and is also deliberately intended to pick up on references so that young fans can experience access to organic rock music. As an alternative to hip-hop and dance, the Kool Katz bring real live musicians back to the stage and show kids aged 3 - 12 a world of music that is still completely new to them.

The Kool Katz take their fans on a journey into the 50s and rock'n'roll, but always with contemporary, child-friendly lyrics and a positive message.

JONNY KARACHO - Punk rock for kids

Punkrock & Skabeats - PUNK IS DAD

Jonny Karacho, alias Dominik Scherer, lets it rip and enables

makes it possible to "pogo" to children's songs. The qualified social worker and father was like millions of other parents before him. As soon as the child is born, his own records gather dust on the shelf, and from then on, the only questions that sound from the speakers are: "Who wants to see fleißige Handwerker?" and "Who stole the coconut?"

Where once Jonny Ramones. Fat Mike's (NOFX) or Tim Armstrong's (Rancid) raucous voices used to croon through the living room, now "educationally valuable" children's musicians warble.

"This can't go on," shouts Jonny Karacho and grabs his guitar. With a mixture of folk, ska, pop and punk, he creates songs that set a new tone in the children's music scene. Wild, funny, cheeky and loving - that's Jonny Karacho, that's punk rock for kids!

So dear parents: Get out your "DOC Martens" and dance around the house with your kids, because: PUNK IS NOT DEAD:
